Life, Work
Sometimes it is just not romantic
Writing life-filled poetry
We all want life to be good and whole
And it is
Yet life seems to live on a backdrop of death
We cannot see in total darkness
We cannot see in total light
We have to have a both and an and
We have to have a foot and a hand
Life isn’t always right and wrong’
Rather it’s always good
Especially when we go to simply living
A friend in need, a smile worth giving
These all form the tapestries of our days
In a million forms, in a billion ways
We walk along and change the universe
Microcosms that we are
A lovely day, a stillness star
We can’t help but make a difference
